Steps to coordinating a successful kitchen/bath renovation and installation

 Unexpected issues may arise (i.e. extra plumbing or electrical work, old sheetrock, etc.) which may take some time to resolve. By working with us to prepare for your new kitchen or bath, you can expect these details to be all worked out before the installation even begins - giving you peace of mind and a smooth transition into your new design.
Our time table on Installations looks like this:
1. Cabinets are delivered.
2. We remove the existing kitchen cabinets, woodwork and flooring.
3. We then install the floor.
4. We begin preliminary plumbing and electrical work.
5. Your walls and base cabinets are then installed.
6. Countertops are templated.
7. Countertops are delivered and installed, electric work is completed.
8. The plumbing gets hooked up.

Preparing Before Installation |

New kitchen cabinets may take
anywhere between 4-12 weeks to manufacture. So in order to be prepared here is a quick list of things to think
about prior to receiving the cabinets.
1. To receive the delivery of your new cabinets, you will need to determine where the cabinets can be stored in
your home prior to installation.
2. You will need to empty all existing cabinets before they are removed and move any tables or other obstacles
that me be around the area where the new cabinets will be installed.
3. An average kitchen installation takes about a week. You will not have access to your sink, stove/oven, or other
appliances during this time. Make sure to think of alternatives for when you need to use those things.
Other things to know about installations
Your new kitchen may be functional within the first week. Countertop lead-time and installation varies depending
on the countertop material you chose. Example: A laminated countertop will be ready within several days.
Also, when getting a solid surface countertop, such as Corian or Silestone, templating is scheduled when the base
cabinets are installed. It will take about 10-14 days to fabricate and then another day or two for installation. |
